Scott Sedam is on a relentless mission to eradicate waste from the building industry. Sedam is a passionate advocate of the Lean building process, which has identified more than $250 million in savings over seven-and-a-half years.

Sedam will bring his fervent message on the importance of eliminating waste in the building process to the 2014 Oklahoma Building Summit on Sept. 11 at the Reed Center in Midwest City. He is president of TrueNorth Development, an internationally known consulting and training firm focused exclusively on the building industry.

Khan joined BASF Construction Chemicals (then Master Builders) in early 1996 and has held positions in marketing, sales, and sales management. Currently he is in a business development role in the Western United States. Since joining BASF, Khan has assisted concrete producers to develop, market, and produce high performance concrete mixtures for a variety of applications, including residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. Tarek is knowledgeable about ultra-high strength, high early strength, self-consolidating, architectural and low CO2 concrete mixtures. He is a civil engineer, a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute, and a member of several ACI technical committees, including the Residential Concrete committee. Khan was a co-recipient of ASTM's Sanford E. Thompson Award for original applied research in the field of hot weather concrete.

Nathan Peil is board certified in asphalt, asphalt mix design level 1 & 2, materials sampling and testing, concrete and aggregates. He has more than 11 years of experience in construction materials and geotechnical testing, inspection and management. Peil is responsible for estimating, database and testing management, report formatting and programming, soil stabilization designs and concrete mix designs. In addition, he is a certified Radiation Safety Officer and performs the yearly radiation safety training for all of EST Inc. employees.

 
Bryce Hanlon, P.E. Preview Bryce Hanlon, P.E.
Geotechnical Engineer, EST

Bryce Hanlon holds a master's degree in Civil Engineering degree with an emphasis on geotechnical investigations from the University of Oklahoma. He assists with drilling and testing operations at EST and compiles and reviews geotechnical reports for a variety of clients. He has experience with roadway, bridge and private development projects across Oklahoma, completing pedological surveys and testing services, including soil classification, standard proctor, resilient modulus, soluble sulfate content, pH and electrical resistivity.
